Unable to update Series 3 watch to watchOS 7, or 7.1

When I try to update my Series 3 watch to the latest watchOS, I'm told there is not enough room on the watch, that I need at least 3.1GBs to update.

The watch itself comes with 4.8GB, but the factory installed apps take up 3.0 gigs on their own! How do I get that last 100Mb out? I don't see a way to delete factory apps I don't need on my watch, like Music or Podcasts, only how to manipulate notifications (which are off already), and I've already deleted any extraneous apps that mirror my phone.
