I know this question has been asked but it seems to be a problem. My mother's iPhone 8 now has a small light in the lower lefthand corner. It started a couple of weeks ago - she's the only owner of the phone - she got it last Christmas. Anyone have a clue what it is or how to turn it off? She lives another state.

That looks too be an actual screen hardware issue. Like the back light bleeding through.

so managed to get a pic - she s ays it does not go open anything on her phone if you touch it.
and to be clear - it's not a reflection - it's actually from the phone
Hard to say with such limited information.
What exactly does it look like?
Does it do anything when pressed?
Has she recently changed her wallpaper?
If possible, get her to take a screen shot and send it to you so you can post it here and we can see it.
