iPad messages are not syncing with iPhone.

My messages are on my iPhone but not syncing with my Series 8 iPad

What “messages” might be involved? iMessages? SMS text messages?

I will guess you’re referring to SMS text messages. An iPad has no capability to send or receive these messages. You may forward them to/from your iPhone.

It looks like SMS messages. I can send from my iPhone and I can see it appear on the iPad however when I send a group text that is sms. No syncing takes place. All switches are turned on in messaging on both devices.
