Cleaning iMac with ethanol and cotton ball

I used ethanol and a cotton ball to clean my entire iMac, and I haven't turned the computer on since cleaning it, because I'm on vacation. Will the ethanol damage the computer (especially the screen)? I just want to make sure so I don't have to keep worrying.

Screen cleaning. What do you use to clean the screen and keyboard on your iMac? My is a late 2015 edition. I can't find the cloths the company says to use. It is not on their website.

Please refer to How to clean Mac products. I do not suggest using ethanol.
