Annoying AirPlay message on lock screen

Ever since the last IOS upgrade on my iphone SE2, I'm seeing an annoying message on my lock screen telling me that AirPlay is not playing. Well, no, it's not supposed to be. The message takes up much of the screen, and I want it to go away. I've tried everything I've read and watched and so far have been unable to accomplish this. Anyone have a solution?
