After changing my user name
My IPad keeps asking for the password to a non active account, how do i removed the old account information so I can receive messages on my IPad?

I had a similar problem some years ago and found that it was related to not signing out of all the Apple things that your account is signed into, so your system is looking backwards and forwards. Once you have signed out of everything and then back in again with your new credentials then I think your problems will go away.

You will need the original password. If you have forgotten the Passcode, check this link...

Hi, is it an email account you’re asking about?
I guess, it asks for current icloud account password then asks for the old icloud account password which was changed years ago.
Much thanks to all replies, Did have to sign out of my Account and turn off the IPAd then when i log back into all it went away.
