Cannot reinstall app

Hi, I deleted the Facebook and Instagram app a while ago. I am trying to reinstall them but in the App Store they don’t have the reinstall icon they just say open. When I click open it takes me to the app but doesn’t download it back onto my phone so the only way to access these 2 apps is through the App Store.
