iPad Pro- Magic Keyboard (space bar), blue boxes

Suddenly when I connect my keyboard/cover to the iPad I get blue boxes everywhere on my screen. The point of the boxes seems to be to highlight selections. Then when I use the space bar (for some reason), the selections are made. It is not the Switch control because I have that turned off.

First question: How can I get rid of that and go back to the normal way of just using my finger to touch the screen to make selections?

Hello Chris,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are having an issue with iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. Based on your description, this could be related to Full Keyboard Access feature, so please try turning this off and here is more info:

Adjust the onscreen and external keyboard settings on iPad

Cheers!
