Can't enable most iCloud services on Trusted Device

When logged onto my Apple ID and iCloud on one of my trusted devices, I can't check off (select) and therefore use many of the services (Notes, calendar, etc.).

I've tried to sign out, sign back in, but for whatever reason, I can't check off most of the iCloud services.

I am using iCloud services on my Windows 11 desktop. However, every few minutes it asks me to provide my password. It has become annoying. Is this normal? I am trying to use my Windows 11 desktop. Why does iCloud keep requiring me to provide my password to sign in when I'm not using any Apple-related services. I'm just reading my google email. Should I just get rid of iCloud?

Non-stop request „Update ID settings“ After introducing the ID many times (I even reset the password) I keep getting „some services will not be available until you sign in again“. This in my 3 apple devices. I had already connected Apple ID and iCloud. I still keep asked to verify the Apple ID identification. During the last attempt to fix this I got: „your passcode will replace your iCloud security code. The passcode of your devices will be used to protect your iCloud account. Your custom iCloud security code will not longer be used.“ Could anybody tell me what that means all of that, is there a breach in my security? Many thanks!

Thanks for the compliment. Are they greyed out? See if some of Eric's suggestions here may help -- iCloud Drive greyed out on MacBook Pro - Apple Community.

Where are you encountering this? Is this under Settings > Name > iCloud?

System Preferences > Apple ID.

On the list of "Apps on this Mac using iCloud:", many of the ones I want are not selectable (calendar, etc.).
