iMac to tv HDMI connector...
I’m not sure which adapters/connectors I need to connect my new iMac to a flat-screen tv with HDMI inputs. Can you give guidance?...

Thanks . It looks like that would work but I have two lightning connectors on the back. One of them is free so is that same connector/adapter available in the configuration I need? I’m just using it To throw picture to my TV occasionally. And it may eventually be my media server replacing the Mac mini that I’m using now.
The connectors on the iMac are USB-C (Thunderbolt 3), not Lightning. You need a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable.
USB C to a HDMI adapter and you are done. What do you want to use the TV for, as an external display or some other use? Finally have you considered using an Apple TV?
Very helpful, thanks. It is a Thunderbolt 3 adapter I am needing. Thanks for the troubleshooting advice...
