WiFi question

I have a new 2020 iMac. I have a 400mbps WiFi speed account with Charter. Running a Speedtest the iMac shows over 400mbps. THEN an few minutes later the Speedtest shows only 100 or so mbps. I restart the iMac, the Speedtest shows over 400 mbps again. It happens all day.

At the very same time, my MacBook, iPad and iPhone are always showing speeds of 400+

Why does this happen to the iMac

Thanks

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

rkaufmann87,

I tested all day before answering. Your suggestion did the trick. With the exception of one random Speedtest that was in the 120mbps range. The entire day I had 400+ speeds in the Speedtest.

I ditched the Charter Spectrum DNS in favor of the Google one.

THANKS!! You know your stuff.
