"disabled FaceTime camera, couldn't get it back to work again: for security reason, I used terminal to disable FaceTime camera of my MBP 2016 TB 13" several years ago (I was using High Sierra back then); lately I need to attend more Teams/Zoom meeting and need the cam -- but I couldn't found the backup files anymore (upgrade OSX every year) and could not get the cam back to work.. Could anyone teach me how to get the cam back, please?"

Troubleshooting This:
A. Boot into Safe Mode: (Hold Down: shift key upon boot). In Safe Mode, login items do not run, and system errors are intended to be reset (caches). So, log in to Safe Mode; wait 30 seconds; restart; login normally. See if it now works.
B. Create a New User:
See if you still get this error - if so, then it is something misconfigured in your current user. If that fixes this, then transfer everything over to the new user, ridding of this current user.
To Create an Admin:
- Go to: System Preferences
- Click: Users & Groups
- Unlock: the Lock
- Press: the "+" button
- Add: an Administrator User.
C. Reinstall the macOS:
- Backup the Mac: Important: Back up your Mac with Time Machine prior to reinstalling the macOS, that way, you will have something to restore your Mac to, should anything go wrong with the reinstall.. Be sure to use an external Hard Drive that is 1.5 times the Storage Capacity of your entire internal hard drive.
- Next, Reinstall the macOS: Use the third option: Hold Down [command + R] upon boot. Nothing would be lost; it's just that moved or corrupt files, will be relocated or replaced, respectively.
