I would like to set up my iPhone as a Apple TV remote. Because my silver remote is not working. When I activate my Apple TV remote on my iPhone it instructs me to enter a four digit code on the Apple TV at settings/general/remote. I’m not able to access my settings on the Apple TV because the remote isn’t working. Can I get around that? Thx!

On older models a physical remote will be required in order to setup the remote app. The workaround would be restoring the unit and pairing with a BT keyboard upon setup.
