My airpods pro case will not charge

I left my AirPods charging overnight and the next day, both AirPods were dead. My case battery was also 0%. Then I figured out that the lightning port was not working but the wireless charging feature was. What do I do to get the lightning port to work again?

also verify that the cord you are using to charge you AirPods is working. Guessing you have checked this, but worth checking again, plug your iPhone in and see if it charges.
