I had to replace my phone 7s with a iphone 8s running OS 11 that I had laying around. The only update available is the latest version OS14.2. The update fails when trying to install.
Is there a repository where I can update incrementally? I may not be able to upgrade due to the update being to far back in the upgrade process?

I needed to make sure my iPhone wasn't not password protected. Install worked as expected.

Settings

Turn Passwords Off

Thanks Tim for responding. I tried the iTunes install as well and it does download the update but fails on the install.

Try updating using your computer instead of over the air.
Incremental updates are not an option. You can only install the current version for the device. Previous versions are no longer signed and can not be installed.
What is the exact error you get when attempting to update using iTunes?
Error 4000. Researching that error now.
