iPhone and iPad don't show in Music...

Neither my iPhone or iPad appear in the iTunes/Music app whenever I plug them in to my Mac.


Are there particular settings I need to adjust?


My software updates are all up to date - I'm running OS Catalina 10.15.7.


Any ideas?

OK - managed to sort this now...


  1. Open Macintosh HD on desktop
  2. In Locations in left hand panel, select your iPad/iPhone etc
  3. Click Trust this iPad/iPhone/device
  4. Enter passcode on device if prompted
  5. 5 Device now appears in Music
