why is my screen going grey when i’m on facetime with my friend. it’s acting like they are on pause but they aren’t

Do you experience this issue with all FaceTime calls, or is it just happening with a specific contact? If it is just happening with one contact, it may be a poor network connection on their device.
A blank screen in FaceTime is most often caused by a poor network connection. If you're having this issue on all FaceTime calls we'd recommend testing the calls on your cellular data connection our another Wi-Fi network to see if that make a difference.
