iPad Calendar Monthly View spaces between months

On my mac (latest OS), the calendar has the days between months continuous and it helps me keep track of the days much better than the calendar monthly view on my iPad calendar (latest OS). On the iPad it places blank days between one month and another so that you can tell it's a different month. This throws me off when planning projects since I've seen it continuous on my mac for what seems like a decade. Is there anyway to change the settings so that the days are continuous between months?
