My child forgot passcode to unlock
How can I help my child unlock their iPod if they forgot their passcode?

If you forgot the passcode on your iPod touch, or your iPod touch is disabled
"If you can’t remember your passcode, you need to erase your iPod touch, which deletes your data and settings, including the passcode."
...and then record the new passcode somewhere.
