My iPhone 12 was already activated when i opened the Box

Hi, i bought my iphone 12 in the beginning of November, and when i opened the Box, and removed the plastic from the phone, i saw that the phone was already set up and turned on.

so i reseted it and reactivated, but now i see in the warranty that it was turned on for the first time the 22 of October, while apple said that iphone 12’s start shipping the 23rd.

i just want to ask if its possible that Apple forgot to turn it off or what happened.

P.S the box was sealed and in great conditions.
