Mic and zoom on macbook pro

How do I fix my internal mic from cutting out and giving people I'm on zoom with static that I can't hear when I talk? They can't hear me at all at points it just cuts out. I updated the system to big sur, and tried to reset the mic. It's still giving me issues only on zoom.

Hello there katina247,

Thanks for reaching out to us with this trouble you're having using the mic on Zoom with your MacBook Pro. Does this happen while using any other video chat, like FaceTime?

And we'd like to have you reset the nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM), as this helps with audio issues. Follow the steps here:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

We'd also suggest resetting the system management controller (SMC) to resolve any lower level system issues. Get the steps for that here:

How to reset the SMC of your Mac

Let us know the outcome, and we can go from there if needed.

Have a great day!
