Apple app Books crashes on opening after iOS update

I updated the software to iPadOS 9.3.5 on an iPad 2. The Apple app Books now crashes on opening. Any suggestions?

Books quitting Books quitting after I have opened a book. Aprox after 30 sec. I have the latest Software and a lot of memory. I have tried restart the iPad several times. No problems before the latest update. 15.4
