Transferring everything from iPhone 6s to iPhone 8

Is this the correct order of steps to transfer all my info from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 8? First, back up 6s to iTunes. Second, reset 8. Third, transfer SIM card from 6s into 8. Fourth, restore iPhone 8 from iTunes. Thank you.
