No SIM Installed

Hello All, I am using Iphone 11pro. From today morning all of a sudden, my phone is displaying error as "NO SIM INSTALLED" even though I have sim card in my mobile. I tried keeping the sim in another mobile and it's working fine.

I restarted my phone and checked. Once phone is on sim will be detected and in next 5 minutes, again the error gets displayed.

My phone is updated as well.

Please let me know what I can do to get rid of this error.

1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2)  If the above does not work then - You have already tested your current SIM and it works on other phones. Can you put another working SIM in your iPhone and see if the other SIM card works? This will tell you whether it is the iPhone or the SIM card.

(3)  If you determine that it is indeed the current SIM then you can call your carrier and get another SIM card.

Hi Alex, I tried first method. When I did force restart the network appeared and only last for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the same error again appeared.

Now I inserted another SIM card. The moment sim card inserted, the network caught the signal and working fine. So, can I assume this as an SIM card issue and change the SIM card from network provider?
