Macbook not charging

my macbook has recently died. Goes to charge it and nothing happens. Mac wont charge. Tried the ctrl+options+shift + power button and that didnt work, infact i think its made it worse i dont even get the battery on screen....booked in for Friday 4th but if anyone can help that would be great
