Name Tags

I've been assigned the task of creating name tags for an upcoming class reunion. I don;t see this template in Pages....If Pages cannot do this does anybody know what software we would need to be able to set up a template to create and print these tags?

You can make your own template. Or maybe find one on _ http://iworkcommunity.com_ .

Are yo going to use i.e. Avery paper? They might have a template to use. Remember that Word templates does open in Pages.

Are you going to use the merge feature and merge names from Address Book or Numbers?

These name tags are rectangles with a name in them, right? Maybe not even with the rectangle.

How high on the difficulty scale would you rate this?

I'd say you could do this in TextEdit.

Thanks...some great templates for us to use. Didn;t find one for nametags, however, but found a couple others that we will be using 🙂

Yes, just simple nametags for a reunion we are helping out with. I want to set up a template so we can quickly drag in a photo of the classmate and add in their name, city, etc. and print them up immediately. will have many nametags printed ahead of time, but will also need to do some "on the fly" the night of the event. Never used Textedit....can that handle photos and can a template be created for what I'll be doing?

You could use TextEdit, but if there are photos involved you should use Pages.

The tags are basically boxes containing an image box for the photo (why a photo if the person is wearing it?) and a text box for the text.

If you are using Avery or similar sheets then you can open the appropriate Word template from Avery's website.

Or just make your own, as described here:
