Hi, I cannot install one of TTF on my new Mac mini with Big Sur.
Google Sans.
I tried Font Book, Font folders. No luck. Even InDesign doesn't see it in Document Fonts. This fonts is working on my old Mac and under Windows.

Did you try installing the font in ~/Library/Fonts?
Do you not see it in TextEdit when you do Format > Font > Show Fonts?
in Adobe .lst file said 'FontType:Invalid'
In Font Book no any info.
The only thing I can imagine is there's a font ID conflict with another font that comes pre-installed with Big Sur.
They send me that font family a few years ago for my project. And it working everywhere except in Big Sur. I checked ~ 50 more TTF fonts for different projects. For now only GoogleSans does nort work.

What is the exact font family name? I can't find one named "Google Sans".

and

The font is actually not available from Google. So any claim to be such is suspect.
Weird, I just bought new Mac Mini to speed up one of my project with many small JPEGs and MP4 for Apple/Google and one of two fonts does not work. 2nd SF-Pro-Text (from Apple) is working.
Usually I have issues with font name in Adobe but not with installation. And Usually InDesign can see all fonts from "Document fonts" folder and it does not matter of Mac or Windows.
not sure about pre-installed fonts with Big Sur, but I used a Migration Assistant and a lot of fonts from my old Mac are active on new one. Before I started my work, I checked that the computer does not have the Google Sans.
Google sent it? Interesting.
At any rate, assuming it's just a normal ttf font there is no reason it shouldn't work in Big Sur.
