Microphone only works during audio/video calls when no sound coming through from other end

Hi All - I’ve had this weird issue with my iPhone 11 ever since I bought it. Whenever I am on either a voice call or video chat (platform doesn’t matter), the person on the other end of the call can only hear what I say if they are not talking and no loud noises are coming through from their end of the call. So, for instance, if the person I’m talking to on the call is saying something and I start to say something before they are completely finished, they can’t hear anything I’ve said. Or, they can only hear the portion if what I said that came through after they stopped talking.

It is super frustrating and I can’t figure out what the issue is. As I mentioned above, it doesn’t matter whether I’m on a voice call, or using a platform such as Messenger, Skype, Teams, or WhatsApp. The issue persists. It also doesn’t matter who I’m speaking with on the other end of the call, so I’ve narrowed it down to definitey being an issue with my phone.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
