The disk"Macintosh HD - Data" can't be unlocked.

Hi Guys

Ever since I installed Big Sur on my old MacBook Air 2013, every time when I login into my profile, a window keeps popping out from somewhere inside System Preferences saying that (The disk"Macintosh HD - Data" can't be unlocked.) this happens every time I login to my profile. Is anyone else having this issue on their MacBook Air or is it just me? Does anyone know why this keeps happening to me? Does anyone know what this means for my laptop or what the problem is? Because the laptop works 100% normal on Big Sur its just this annoying window that keeps popping up saying this message and I'm trying to know why.

to all who respond to this topic, I appreciate all ur opinions, options, suggestions, and a best answer for this situation I'm currently having.

Open Disk Utility.

Do you see two Macintosh HD - Data volumes?

If so, determine which is the current one and which is the old one left over from a reinstall.

Select each one and look at the Mount Point in the info pane.

The one mounted at /System/Volumes/Data is the current one.

The one mounted at /Volumes is the leftover one. If you are sure you have all of your data, you can remove the leftover one by selecting it and clicking the Remove Volume button ( – ).
