Automate actual AppleTV using XCode

I saw the following https://alexilyenko.github.io/apple-tv-automated-tests/ article and I was wondering if we can do so with the actual hardware. Basically use the XCode as a remote control to control the actual AppleTV hardware rather than an emulation. Is it possible? If yes, are there any tutorials that show how to do so.

Is there not a way to open an Apple TV software remote on an imac to control the Apple TV? Is there not a way to open an Apple TV software remote on an imac to control the Apple TV? We can do it from an iphone or ipad.
