Apple Music Autoplay is Ruining My Life

To start: "CarPlay" is off. Please do not suggest that.

Every single time I get in the car and try to listen to whatever is ALREADY PLAYING on my phone, Apple Music will magically interrupt and start blasting a random song on shuffle. The app isn't even open so I don't even know how it does that (creepy), but then I have to open the app just to turn it off.

The only reason I even still have Apple Music is because there is ONE artist that I love who's music is not yet on Spotify. This is weird and annoying and big-brother-y. Please fix.

iPhone 8, iOS 12

Hi there stop-the-swipe,

We understand your iPhone is auto-playing from Apple Music when connected to your car, and we'd like to help clarify this for you.

It is expected behavior for music to auto-play when your iPhone is connected to a USB or Bluetooth accessory. While there isn't a way to disable this in iOS, you may be able to do so through the car stereo. To look into that, you'll want to reach out to the manufacturer.

Cheers!
