What is the 'vpnagentd' app requesting Full Disk Access

I recently updated my 2017 MacBook Pro to Big Sur 11.01 and in reconfiguring the McAfee Total Protection security package I have on the computer, I noticed that in the list of apps found in 'System Preferences' > 'Security & Privacy' > 'Privacy' > 'Full Disk Access' that one can allow data access to, an app 'vpnagentd' was listed. I am unsure as to what this app is and or for. Does anyone know for certain what it pertains to and what allowing it access will do?

There is no reason to ever install or run any 3rd party "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus, VPN or security apps on your Mac. This user tip describes what you need to know and do in order to protect your Mac: Effective defenses against malware and other threats - Apple Community

I wouldn't give full disk access to any of the above types of apps. Uninstall the MacAfee software and any other cleaning, optimizing, A/V type of software according to the developer's instructions.

When done You can check to see if you've removed all of the supporting files by downloading and running Find Any File to search for any files with the application's name and the developer's name in the file name. For example for McAfee software you'd do the following search(es):

1 - Name contains mcafee

Any files that are found can be dragged from the search results window to the Desktop or Trash bin in the Dock for deletion.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.
