I need help downloading new software from 10.10.5

Need to download a photo shop app for work and every app I try to download is telling me I need a newer software. After cleaning up and restarting, I go to update and I am given the "no updates available" icon. Currently using a Macbook Air early 2015. From what i have gathered, it seems as if I don't have enough storage space (computer is currently reading 4.79 GB free of 120.11 GB). Is this correct or is there something I am missing?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur. through the links provided; they're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list.

You'll need to free up space before you can upgrade.
