SOFTWARE update

I have an iPad Pro with software 13.7—-telling me it needs to be updated. However after a few attempts it is saying “update Faile” any advise

You may need to connect your iPad to a Window PC or older Mac running the latest version of iTunes or if a newer Mac running newer macOS version using the macOS Finder, and let iTunes or the macOS Finder to do the iPadOS 14 upgrade of your iPad Pro.
