Hi, please does support apple mini 2018 sgx to play 4K Bluray discs?
Apple has never natively supported Blu-Ray in any format.
IMHO, your better off just using a regular Blu-Ray player and a TV instead of trying to use a Mac Mini or iMac.
No, you need to have a Mac compatible Blu-ray player and software.
I have a 2018 Mac mini running macOS 11.0.1 Big Sur and it will play 1080p Blu-ray, both on a LG display connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port and a 1080p TV connected to the HDMI port. I do,'t have any 4K Blu-ray discs to try.

I don’t know if this might help but, I did find this 4K Blu-ray external drive that can play 4K UHD Blu-ray Discs on Amazon. Reading the description it looks like can burn regular Blu-rays, DVDs & CDs but, only plays 4K Blu-ray Discs.

Hi Robert, thank for your input! There are lot of requirements to fulfill: Intel 7th generation (Kaby Lake) Core i processors with HD (UHD) Graphics 630 and above that support the Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) technology. I have no clue, if 2018 (19) mac mini supports SGX. The drive is not the biggest issue. Anyway, thank for your support!
Thank for your reply! Its clear I do need sotfware player and optical drive. My question is, whether is mac mini hardware compatible, it must support AACS 2.0 and Intel’s Software Guard Extensions (SGX) and a GPU with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 support. AACS 2.0 also has to be implemented within the GPU driver. Sellers here in the Czech Republic have no idea about it.
I will add, I mean 4K Blu Ray, no 1080 p standard Blu Ray. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc has a resolution of 3840 X 2160. Also, none of the drives in your link doesn't support a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc.
Hello Malcolm, thanks a lot for your reply! But this is still 1920x1080 Blu Ray disc. I wonder whether the mac mini hardware can play Ultra HD Blu Ray disc with a resolution of 3840 X 2160 as well. The advantage of PC is that it plays any video or audio format, including ISO backups. No stand alone Blu Ray player is able to do this.
You can try using VLC Player to play the 4K Discs. There are other options as well but am unable to share due to it being flagged
