Delete Saved password on iMac

I have iMac I want to sale!

So, I signed out of all accounts including my iCloud account and performed factory reset.

after the system booted up, I logged in using local account (I didn’t sign in to any email).

Then, I opened Safari trying to login to Microsoft account “Microsoft.com” (I needed to check something), and I was surprised that Safari “autofill” my email and password!!!

My questions is:

  1. how to wipe out all saved passwords on iMac!
  2. Why iMac still have my passwords saved while I am not signed in to any account?!?

Thank you,

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

You don’t, you erase and re-install the macOS before selling the iMac.

Just follow the directions, at > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201065
