Turning Off "Set Up New Device..." Under WiFi Settings?

When trying to connect to appliance WiFi, I have to connect to the device's wifi network and go back to the App to continue set up.

However, when I go to the wifi settings, the device's wifi network is listed under "Set Up New Device..." instead of Available Networks. I am unable to connect to it thus unable to set up my device.

Is there a way to turn this feature off so I can just connect to the wifi network on the device?

Hello, TXBREVE.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

From understanding your post, you are having troubles getting an appliance set up to Wi-Fi using your iPhone. While there isn't a way to turn off available networks without turning off Wi-Fi completely. It'd be best suggested to check any documentation or contact the manufacturer of that appliance for further help with connecting it to Wi-Fi.

If this isn't the case, provide more details about the appliance you're trying to connect.

Best regards.
