Orange Network France How can you put a Livebox into bridge mode
I’ve been out there searching as I need, like millions of others, step by step instructions on how to set up a third-party device to extend my network on what is basically a cable network here in France.
Specifically, I am looking for step-by-step instructions on how to move the Orange Livebox into bridge mode so I can extend my wireless network for my my Mac, my iPhones, Apple TV and my iPad Pros, etc.
I searched the Orange.fr “community website” which was truly astonishing. No one offering any productive information just a lot of posturing and sniping and no helpful answers. It was the opposite of a feeling of what a community forum is about. So I got off that site, even though I’m a client, and saw this old thread way back in 2008 about Airport Extremes and Airport Express set ups which only made me nostalgic for my old Airport set up. I miss the old Apple where they made beautiful things that were new and innovative and easy to use.
So if there’s anybody out there who has the technical prowess and the ability to communicate easily with helpful step by step instructions on how to place a Livebox into bridge mode I’d really appreciate it.
My goal is pretty simple. As anyone would know with some basic technical knowledge, you can have interference if you have a modem\router that is also sending out a wireless signal when you are using wireless devices to extend your wireless network.
So it’s good to be able to put that into bridge mode and connect via a cable to the third party device such as an Airport Extreme or any other such device such as an Eero to set up your wireless network and have it work for all your Apple products. I’m hoping there’s somebody out there who sees this question and has the knowledge and shares it with others.
