Storage on 2016 MacBook Pro

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro with 500 GB of flash storage. I occasionally get pop-ups saying my files is almost full, so when I checked the storage, it said I have 5.12 GB available of 499.96 GB—

I’m using 132 GB for photos, 65 GB for iOS files, 55 GB for documents 34 GB for apps, and the remaining for Other Users and iTunes.

Is flash storage the main storage—and I’ve filled it up already?

I’m running Mohave, if that matters.

Yes, and it would appear so. What is "Other" storage on a Mac, and how to clean it out - Apple Community provides a description and recommended actions. Try it.
