iPhone 12 mini overheat
I’ve been experiencing phone overheat too on iPhone mini 12, mainly whilst changing but sometimes using. The older models don’t overheat whilst charging with background app running.

I have had similar issues with my iphone 12 mini (black) in the silicon case on warm days using GPS with the phone on a dash mount. My previous phone the XR (black) didn’t have the issue.
The phone does cool down quickly with the case removed, not charging and with the Air *** on the windscreen which is a hit of a work around. I guess with the case it’s just not able to dissipate the heat the same.
