iPhone 11 Pro Max can’t shoot HDR photos.

My iPhone 11 Pro Max can’t shoot HDR photos. When I capture photo with HDR turned on and go to Photos it doesn’t show that the photo is HDR. I’m talking about this symbol: Smart HDR is turned off, because I want to turn it on/off manually. And my iPhone doesn’t increase the brightness on HDR content. This setting is turned on. On other HDR content it increases it.

Hi Apple8K,

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have some questions about the HDR feature in the Camera app, correct? If so, we'll be happy to provide some guidance. HDR will only show for the photo if you turn the setting Off under Settings > Camera, then turn it on in for the photo you're taking, as it is the default. This is expected behavior for your device.

Adjust HDR camera settings on iPhone

As for the second issue you're describing, we need further clarification to answer.

"And my iPhone doesn’t increase the brightness on HDR content. This setting is turned on. On other HDR content it increases it."

What setting are you referring to when you say that it is turned on? Also, what content is, and is not increasing it?

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We're always happy to help.

Cheers!
