Listening to my shazam history/library/playlist on my Mac

I subscribe to Apple Music. I know how to play in Apple Music an individual track I've Shazam'd. On my Mac, how can I play my entire Shazam history or My Shazams playlist? Is there a way to listen to the full track versions and have all the tracks play?

Hi, MJak8.

It sounds like you’re familiar with listening to your Shazam tracks in the Music app on your iPhone, but you’d also like to listen on your Mac.

Since you’re an Apple Music subscriber, songs that you Shazam should be automatically added to a playlist in called My Shazam Tracks in the Music app. Do you see it on your iPhone? If you’re not seeing this playlist, you may need to sync your music library.

If you see the playlist on your iPhone, make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID on your Mac. Use the same article to sync your music on your Mac, and check for the playlist in the Music app on your computer. It should sync across devices with your Apple Music subscription.

Hi Karina - thanks so much for your reply and help. I marked the answer correct because it is accurate, yet it didn’t resolve my actual issue.

I know how to listen to my Shazams in the My Shazams playlist on my Mac; however, it will only play one, individual track at a time and only a partial sample of that track. Then I have to select the next track and hit play.

On my MacBook, how can I:

1) listen to full versions of my Shazams? 2) listen to all tracks automatically playing continuously as a playlist?

Thank you everyone for your willingness to help!

MJak8,

Thank you for marking the reply as Solved and clarifying your exact issue. We want you to be able to listen to your Apple Music across all devices, so we’d like to continue to help.

It sounds like you can see your full Shazam playlist, it just isn’t behaving like your other playlists in Apple Music. Have you tried any troubleshooting? If not, we encourage you to try these steps:

  • Update your Mac to the latest macOS version.

  • If you’re already updated, try restarting.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac - Apple Support

  • Quit the Music app and re-open it.

  • Deauthorize and authorize your Mac.

Authorize a Mac to play iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

  • Download the Shazam app on your Mac, if applicable.

As a last resort, you may need to toggle Sync Music and log and back into your Apple ID. Both of these steps will remove downloads from your Mac, so we encourage these steps be taken only if the others are not allowing you to listen to your Shazam playlist.

Good luck!
