Using a game controller as an assistive pointer device?

I've connected an xbox controller to my iPhone 11 via bluetooth, and want to use it as a pointer. The controller works in games, but it doesn't work as a pointer in iOS. Customizing the controller buttons doesn't work either.

Is it possible to use a game controller as a pointer to control an iphone?
