printer update

I have a Mac Mini that uses Mojave 10.14.6 and an HP printer (an Envy 6032). that uses HP Smart for Desktop. The printer is asking me to update, but when I try, I get a message from the Mac saying it cannot update or it cannot complete my purchase. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions as to how to complete this update. Thank you.
