What if old Mac is broken and you can’t open migration

Can you do migration without allowing on old computer which has broken screen

You can put the old laptop into Target Disk Mode and connect it to your new Mac (you don't need to see anything on the display for this to work).


In the future make sure to have frequent and regular backups. It is impossible to recover accidentally deleted data from an SSD plus an SSD can fail at any time without any warning signs.
