I have made several efforts to download some apps from Apple store without success, it required my Apple ID which I used but still stalled asking that I have not used the Apple ID for iTunes Store before? What am I required of to get apps downloaded on my iPhone ?

It sounds like you’re unable to use the App Store, and we're happy to help. You most likely need to add payment information for verification purposes to use the App Store for the first time:
If you can't remove your last payment method or use no payment method with your Apple ID
