"Other" taking up significant storage (150GB)

I have a similar problem as this one: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251269001. However the old conversation is closed so I cannot reply and still do not know how to find the software that takes up the most storage.

this seems even more crazier after updating to Big Sur. I am using Macbook Pro end of 2016

Okay after some time of searching, I found another post about this problem (https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5142). the trick that solve my problem is to use OmniDiskSweeper. it is not an app as overwhelming as other Omni apps, nor like CleanMyMac or alike. it is extremely simplified, only does the scanning and sizing all the files, and giving the directories and "trash" button.

The largest files are in the containers folder, developer folder, and application support folder. though many softwares have already been deleted, their trash are still there.

I hope Apple itself could make its storage management as helpful as OmniDiskSweeper.
