Is there a way to purchase the screen replacements for both front and back and do the work myself for a fraction of the cost? I don’t have apple care anymore I believe. Not sure when my warranty expired. I have plenty of experience replacing I phone screens n parts starting with the I phone 5 up until the 9 plus so I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be too difficult of a task.

Don't do it. First of all, you CANNOT buy authentic Apple parts anywhere. Second of all, if you mess up, Apple will not ever touch your phone again if you need help. If you install a 3rd party screen on your phone Face ID will cease to function.
As Peter correctly suggests, the back glass on your phone is fused to the phone and isn't replaceable at all.

We only recommend Apple replace front screens. The faceID or TouchID will not work after non Apple replacement, and it will nag you incessantly.
The rear glass is permanently cemented to most of the major components. A cracked back glass is a write-off.
