A duplicate? You have two Apple IDs that are exactly the same? Or do you mean a 2nd, different Apple ID account that you made?

All purchases made using an Apple ID are tied to the ID. Delete the ID and you will need to download them using your new ID. There have been posts by people who have contacted Apple Support and they were told that if you delete an ID associated with an email address, you can never reuse the email address for an Apple ID.  Make sure you sign out from the places in the 4th link before deleting the ID. If you fail to sign out of your device before deleting the ID, the device may become useless.

You are welcome. When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. If possible, also set up Family Sharing  between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.

Thank you for the helpful information. I have two Apple ID's. The first was created when I bought my MacBook Pro 13 under a different email than my second Apple ID. The 2nd Apple ID is with a different email address that is in use with my new iPhone SE and new iPad. I would like to join the MacBook with the other two devices under one account. Any advice?
