Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

“Finish your payment setup”???

I recently set up a new iPad with Apple care+. I received an email that says “thank you for purchasing apple care+. Please keep this proof of coverage…” Etc.


Then it gives the product, the hardware serial number, the agreement number etc. It says “your AppleCare plus coverage is now active and will automatically continue month to month as long as you continue to make monthly payments…“


So my question is, why have I now received an email to “finish your payment set up” for apple care+ ???


It looks suspicious and I’m not sure I want to continue or click on anything.

It sounds as though you've received an email, and unsure if it's from Apple. Being able to confirm if this is from Apple is very important, and you can find great tips for identifying phishing attempts online in Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams.


If you have additional questions regarding the email it's recommended to contact Apple via the Get Support website.
